Throughout The World...New Single
Throughout The World...love is heard. Revolution 9 releases their new single “Throughout The World” exclusively on MySpace to promote their full length release Music By Numbers. MBN will be coming out soon on Scarab Records. Go to their MySpace page for a full listen.
Also On The Way: Remixes + Rejects
Along with the release of their full length album (Music By Numbers)...Revolution 9 plans on releasing a remix album titled Music By Numbers: Remixes + Rejects. It will include a remix of each vocal track on Music By Numbers, plus some material that did not make it onto the album...thus, the “rejects”. The band has been working on two versions of each song in the studio...so these remixes aren’t just new mixes, but rather new interpretations of each track...most with all new music and even some with new vocals. The remix album should be released as early as a few months after the regular release. New songs from their album and remix album will start popping up on their website and their MySpace page shortly. Keep your eyes and ears on your computer.
King Kong + Gollum Love Revolution 9
A loop from the song “A Better Day” (AM/FM) is now the featured music on www.serkis.com - the official site of Andy Serkis. The music is on Andy’s homepage with a credit and link to the official Revolution 9 site at the bottom of that page. Andy Serkis is the man behind Gollum in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and Kong from Peter Jackson’s remake of King Kong. Special thanks to Andy Serkis and Keith Stern.
Revolution 9 On MTV
Revolution 9 recently signed a contract with MTV. All 5 tracks from their new album AM/FM were licensed and will be used in such shows as My Super Sweet 16. If you miss the actual broadcasts you can always find them on iTunes. “My Super Sweet 16” is one of several shows currently offered by MTV on iTunes.
Revolution 9 In The Studio
Revolution 9 is currently in the studio recording their debut full length album titled Music By Numbers. It will feature the singles “Computer Girl”, “Throughout The World”, “Radio” and “Waiting For The Weather”...along with five other vocal tracks and one instrumental. Shortly after that release Revolution 9 plans on releasing a full length remix album...more information coming soon.
New Digital Distribution Deal
Revolution 9 recently signed a new world-wide digital distribution deal with IRIS in San Francisco. You might have noticed that their last two releases were absent from iTunes and a few other online music stores for a spell. The band is truly sorry for this inconvenience. Due to the switch in distributors, all titles were being moved to new accounts. All Revolution 9 albums are now available again on iTunes, Rhapsody and Napster (among many other online digital music stores). Thanks.
