The companion release to the album of the same if shorter title...gives the neo-synth pop duo Revolution 9 a chance to further play around with their often sweetly enjoyable ditties. The bandmembers handle all remixing duties themselves but there's a nice variety from the earlier versions on display...it's still a treat to hear "Computer Girl" turned into an even bouncier song, or "Inside of Me" given a polite but effective techno makeover. One of the album's strongest numbers is "Answer Me (Sound of My Heart)," as perfect a classic pop ballad in the Erasure mode as any circa WIld or Chorus. - Ned Raggett
TWOGROOVE
In the same vein as Depeche Mode, Rev 9 takes dark synthpop and layers in Kraftwerk-esque percussion that meshes perfectly with the dreamy vocals. It’s instantly familiar and accessible; Revolution 9 will have your head nodding as you scrounge around in your closet for your old copy of Some Great Reward.

THE DOCKING STATION
Rev’s style of alternative electro/synth-pop can be easily compared to 80s synth-pop. This duo has a raw electronic feel with passionate vocals, reminiscent of Depeche Mode or Tears for Fears.

COAST IS CLEAR
Seit einiger Zeit sind Radiohead ja sehr aktiv dabei, andere Bands zum Remixen ihrer Stücke zu animieren und die Fans über die besten Mixe abstimmen zu lassen. Gestern wurde mir der (Revolution 9 Rework) des Songs (Reckoner) zugespielt, und obwohl ich Remixen doch oft eher skeptisch gegenüber stehe, muss ich sagen, dass dieser hier echt gut gelungen ist - denn der Originalsong wurde komplett umgestülpt und neu verwoben. Das Ergebnis überzeugt auf der ganzen Linie!
